Meet The Symbol Of The Y2K Era: DKNY Be Delicious

Be Delicious, it’s an attitude!

Launched in 1989 , DKNY has made Donna Karan accessible to a younger generation . DKNY fragrances are a fast-track to experiencing the vibrancy of the brand’s origin, New York City .

DKNY fragrances always capture the everlasting energy and indomitable creativity of the city. Bursting onto the scene in 2004, DKNY Be Delicious continues to celebrate individuality and the spirit of the Big Apple. Almost twenty years after its original launch, the fragrance remains an iconic symbol of the Y2K era, still resonating with new generations with one bottle sold every 2 minutes globally .

Whether one chooses to be deliciously strong or deliciously trendy,
the iconic apple celebrates us all, encouraging everyone to be uniquely themselves and always Be Delicious .

The Design

The sculptural bottle design serves as a time capsule in the form
of a chrome-topped glas sapple. The whimsical shape, green glass and shining silver cap, puts the Big Apple in the palm of your hand. Reminiscent of a brown grocery bag, the outer carton is stamped with the iconic Be Delicious logo.

The Fragrance

Created by famed perfumer, Maurice Roucel , DKNY Be Delicious is a
juicy floral fruity scent bursting with c ha rm a nd s pontaneit y . Mou th –
wateri ng fres h apple blends with crisp cucumber and sparkling grapefru it to excite the senses . Sweet magnolia and a core of violet and rose play fully dance at the heart . A smooth dry down of creamy sandalwood, white amber and musk concludes the scent with a touch of sensuality. When asked about the fragrance creation, Maurice Roucel said, “ with the strength and quality of our raw materials I wanted to create something that captured the energy and power of New York City. I wanted the main character of this story to be the apple, but different and stronger than every thing else on the market. With the floral bouquet of middle notes, we frame the fragrance with a freshness that allows the apple to express all its different facets — the green, fruity, and juicy qualities , in a much bigger way .”
