Tis’ the season to glam up!
BY ALLYSA GATCHALIAN

For most beauty lovers, Halloween is a special time of the year. Though the season might look a bit different — and distant, it certainly shouldn’t stop you from putting together a spellbinding MOTD for those upcoming virtual festivities. After all, you wouldn’t want to miss out on the incredible makeup opportunities that only the Halloween season can offer.
Read on for some creative yet surprisingly easy Halloween makeup ideas you can try out:

Woodland Fairy
White eyeliner is a great way to add a whimsical touch to any Halloween look, especially for this fairy-inspired number. We’re obsessed with the extra wings and dotted details around the eyes, though you can totally switch this out with a more traditional wing, or get creative with a negative space liner.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can also take things up a notch by sweeping your eyeshadow color along the cheekbones and on the tip of the nose.

Vampire Glam
For those who love to amp up the drama but don’t want something too elaborate, this sultry vampire look is for you. The best part is, you probably already have all the items you need in your makeup bag.
To recreate this Halloween classic, line the eyes with a black gel eyeliner, and smudge the product on the top and bottom lash line. Buff in a deep brown or plum-colored eyeshadow for added depth, and don’t be afraid to bring the color up towards the outer edges of the eyes too!
For that ‘sunken’ appearance, use a cool-toned contour powder and hollow out the cheekbones. Swipe on your boldest red lipstick, and your look is complete.

Disco Feels
Let your imagination run free with this 80s inspired disco look. Featuring a bevy of jewel tones strategically placed on different parts of the eyelids, you’re sure to make an unforgettable impression this season around. The color combos are pretty much endless too, so go ahead and wear all your favorite shades liberally.
As a final touch, apply a berry-colored blush to your temples and the tops of your cheekbones for an Avant-garde finish.

Classic Barbie
There is no such thing as too much pink, especially on Halloween! To recreate Barbie’s iconic look, take a mid-tone fuchsia shade and apply the color all over the crease and lower lash line. Deepen the outer corners with a smokey purple shade, and dust a gold shimmer shade on the center of the lids for a brightening effect.
Throw in Barbie’s signature winged liner, and finish the eyes with your most dramatic pair of false lashes.
Since Barbie is known for her monochromatic looks, you’ll also want to stick to similar shades when selecting your blush and lip color. (Tip: you can also sweep some of the blush on your crease for a more cohesive look.)

Modern Cleopatra
Now here’s a look quite literally fit for a queen. We’re swooning over this rendition of the Egyptian monarch’s historic beauty look, with gold eyelids, a blue cut crease, and a powerful cat eye that’s distinctively Cleopatra.
To begin, map out the shape of the cut crease and main wing with a black eyeliner pencil. Set the cut crease by layering a blue eyeshadow on top, and apply a gold liquid eyeshadow on the rest of the eyelids.
For Cleopatra’s trademark liner, be sure to extend the line along the tear ducts. Then, elongate the outer corners by creating a line that’s parallel to the cut crease you’ve created. From the tip of the wing, draw a small line pointing downwards, and connect it back to the outer corner of the eye for that recognizably Egyptian accent.
