As if swiftly catching up to current social ideologies, the sartorial pieces displayed seemed to be endorsing gender-fluid dressing. It’s about time we shatter walls and break boundaries of ‘who should wear what’, and if you share the same feeling, go get yourself a tie.
Fringes
Keeping things light this Fall / Winter? Apparently so, as flowing fringes were spotted from New York all the way to the French capital. And by far, the best looks that so deeply ingrained in our minds were from Koche and Vaquera. Denim On Denim
Denim might had a serious moment back in the 90s but its only today that it has reached its golden age. Designers in the likes of Stella McCartney, Alessandra Rich, Chloe, Givency, and Schiaparelli all jumped in to reaffirm our statement. Their exhibit of cargo jeans, balloon pants, double-waisted denim caused big relief that casual can be in vogue too — which we could all used more of when slow days gets the most of us.
Black And White
As if rewinding back in time to an era of two-toned TV, we’re seeing things black and white on stage. Chanel, Balmain and Louis Vuitton’s runways were rife with the timeless color combination, proving once again that monotones are king. High contrasting hues draws attention effortlessly, and above all, they look fantastic with a bold red lip. If that ain’t francais enough, nothing else is.
