Influencers looking fly at Fashion Week
Southeast Asian and East Asian style influencers have been big on representing the region during the recent Fall/Winter 2023 fashion week in London, New York, Milan, and Paris. Not only does this puts us on par with global fashionistas, it also allows the rest of the world to see that we too, have what it takes to attend the same shows that were once out of reach for us.
From Singaporean style influencer Yoyo Cao, a fashion week regular, to Indonesian celebrity Alyssa Daguise’s first time at the Hermes fashion show, we explore the impeccable drip these style mavens have during the most fashionable weeks of the year.
MAE TAN
Singaporean fashionista Mae Tan stole the show at the recent Milan Fashion Week, where she was dressed to kill for the Dolce & Gabbana show. Her standout piece in the outfit? A transparent trench coat.
JANE CHUCK
Malaysia’s OG influencer Jane Chuck attended several fashion week shows, but we’re in love with this gorgeous outfit she wore to the MSGM runway show. The all-white ensemble is a masterclass in layering with a simple tank top under a mesh long-sleeved top, a wrap skirt, and colourful knee-high socks to break the monotony.
ALYSSA DAGUISÉ
Indonesian celebrity Alyssa Daguise looks absolutely amazing at the Hermes runway show during Paris Fashion Week. She is seen dressed head to toe in Hermes in stunning colours of tangerine and fuchsia.
LUNA MAYA
At times, all you need is a simple outfit to wow the crowd — even during fashion week. Indonesian celebrity Luna Maya proves us right with a black-and-white bodycon printed dress, accentuated with a cerulean blue box clutch. She was attending the Michael Kors show during the recent New York Fashion Week.

Malaysian style influencer @mskuan does a suit with a twist at the Miu Miu show, donning a cropped grey blazer with matching tailored shorts.
GLENN YONG
If you want to make a classic outfit stand out, play with voluminous silhouettes, just like Singaporean singer-actor Glenn Yong. At the Bottega Veneta show, he wore a monotone shirt and extra-wide pants for an interesting silhouette.
YOYO CAO
They say fashion is pain, and Singaporean influencer Yoyo Cao certainly braved the late winter weather in her boxy cropped outfit for the Louis Vuitton show. We think she looked absolutely fabulous.
HEART EVANGELISTA
Philippines-based influencer Heart Evangelista — who is also a ZALORA ambassador — is a romantic vision in white at the Elie Saab show. Dressed in all-white, her matching perforated jacket and top were elegant, leaving room for some cheeky action with her sheer skirt.
ALVIN CHONG
Malaysian actor Alvin Chong attended the Onitsuka Tiger Autumn/Winter 2023 runway show in Milan Fashion Week recently. He keeps it simple yet bold with a monochrome tracksuit in a striking Kelly green.
BRYAN YAMBAO
Bryan Boy never misses, and we especially loved the drip they wore to the Loewe FW23 runway show. What stood out in the black and white ensemble was definitely the leather cape jacket, which seemed to be a riff of a tuxedo — except the tuxedo prints were mismatched.
SOFIA ANDREAS
It’s all in the details with this Fendi look from influencer Sofia Andreas. During the Fendi show at Milan Fashion Week, she wore a stunning cream monotone outfit. However, the devil is in the details here. Check out the contrast stitching detail on the pockets of the structured jacket, or the Fendi buckles on the dress. Within a monotone outfit, it’s these details that make it pop.
TIFFANY HSU
All-pink looks have been trending recently, ever since Valentino brought it back en vogue. Taiwan-based style influencer Tiffany Hsu brings it up a notch, combining Millennial and Barbie pink when attending the Mugler fashion show. We love how the hot pink tights and shoes pop against the light pink, oversized coat — a masterclass in colour theory.

Style maven Molly Chiang proves that athleisure can also be glam. When attending the Loewe fashion show recently, Chiang donned leather sweatpants and a glossy yellow puffer jacket from the fashion house. She finished off the look with platform clog slippers. The lesson here? It’s all about the fabric and shoes you go with, to make athleisure a glamorous look.
KIWI LEE
It’s a pleats affair at the Sacai FW23 show when Taiwanese influencer Kiwi Lee rocked up in an edgy outfit. She gave the sage pleated dress a gothic edge with chunky platform boots and a flowing head wrap — and we love it.
FAYE TSUI
How much fabric is too much? For Hong Kong-based style influencer Faye Tsui, any number is possible. At the Isabel Marant FW23 fashion show, Tsui sported an outfit that had denim, velvet, floral embroidery, lace, and leather — and it worked.
CHARLES LAM
Comfy, warm, and stylish: these are the hallmarks of any fabulous outfit, as Hong Kong style blogger Charles Lam proves. At the Louis Vuitton FW23 show, he put on a matching set comprising a logomania puffer jacket and pants, contrasting the look with the Yayoi Kusama collaboration sneakers.
OLIVIA LAZUARDY
Indonesian style influencer Olivia Lazuardy is a vision of androgynous glamour in her outfit when attending the Off-White FW23 fashion show. She layered a mix-knit dress under a wrap blazer, leaving us mind-boggled on whether or not it’s actually a whole piece in itself.
