Strangers Things Season 4 had our eyeballs glued to the screen, not only because of the suspense-filled plot twists but also the impressive fashion statements each character displayed. Eleven was seen tapping more into her feminine side, Max experimenting with bold colors, and Lucas showing off a cooler charisma. Rather than saying the cast had grown up, ‘glow up’ seems to be the better term. Well, regardless, we’re totally living for the show’s 80s looks — which we intend on stealing for our kids. So take notes now, parents!
Billy Hargrove
Being the main villain for ‘Stranger Things’ seasons two and three, it’s difficult to like Billy Hargrove. The only thing acceptable about him is his classic 80s heartthrob style. Flash out tight jeans, an unbuttoned shirt, denim jackets, and a perfectly-imperfect mullet. He’s dangerous alright, and those killer looks are what garnered him the title “most popular guy” at Hawkins High School.
Max Mayfield
As the step-sister of Billy Hargrove, Max’s fashion sense was destined to be great. Though, rest assured she didn’t inherit the same despicable personality, just the wardrobe. One ensemble we particularly couldn’t get out of our minds was this part where she helped Eleven explore the power of retail therapy. The skater girl clad on a colorful crop top, shorts, and some blue sneakers to match.
Eleven
While Eleven’s iconic look of marching to steal Eggos at the supermarket got ingrained deeply in our minds, after season 3, red raincoats will likely be getting the same effect. She wore the bright rainy day gear while investigating with her buddy Max, bringing color to a somewhat dark and grim scene. Very cute. Though thinking back, it looks as if the Duffer brothers were trying to send a message.
Lucas Sinclair
Survivor and part of the original gang, Lucas Sinclair gets a fashion refresh in season 4. He begins to embrace his sportier side to fit in better with the jocks. Opting basketball uniform over his distinct corduroy jacket, it’s safe to declare ‘cool and comfy’ as his signature style. Fitting the bill right here are these striking orange shorts that are perfect for the court and fighting monsters.
Steve Harrington
Before there was Billy Hargrove, Steve Harrington was the one stealing hearts. Landing him this popularity is again the classic 80s heartthrob style that comprises cool jackets and a mullet. Though what sets them apart is that Steve’s looks lean toward preppy. Think polo shirts, jeans, and white sneakers. Undeniably simple, yet his chic fashion statements are admittingly gratifying.
