1. Bright, Neutral Tones / Pastels
Pandemic-wise: we’re no way out of the woods yet, but the fashion scene seems to have a mind of its own. Not planning to dwell in the gloom further, they’re bringing back hope with bright hues and pastels. Perhaps the one trend that no one saw coming, or maybe some of us did after Pantone announced Very Peri as the color of the year.
2. Oversize
Over the years, fashion has always been about flaunting the figure. Now that we’re re-appreciating comfort more, the oversize cutting takes over the wheel. Anything that creates volume like a top with bat sleeves or a pair of joggers is considered voguish. No doubt your child will love the trend as more room means more freedom to move.
3. Layering
Trendsetters certainly know how to stand out, even if they’re solely working with plain shades. Their secret? Giving the outfit some texture, which is achievable via layering. Dress over shirt, pattern tops under jackets, color blocking co-ords — there are a few ways. It’s complicated, but anything for the ‘gram right?
4. Sandals
Hot weather’s upon us, hence, we’re not the least surprised to see this on the list. As baring the feet becomes more and more socially acceptable, there’s been an abundance of new designs rolling out for sandals. There are those slightly heeled, straps, and many more. You can best believe this trend is going to stay for seasons, so a white one’s a must-have for all occasions.
5. Sneakers
Tell us, when have sneakers ever gone out of style. Never. And being the sneakerhead that we are, there’s no outfit we don’t pair with the footwear. Dresses — check. Jeans — Yes. Jumpers — absolutely. Though color’s an important factor when you’re thinking of bagging home one. Choose either black or white to remain on safe territory.
