Style to me is…
Something very individual. It’s something that’s unique to each person and it evolves as you grow. It’s a mixture of your personal taste, your exposure, your personality. In a way it’s like a thumbprint of a person. You can’t replicate it. It’s always exhibited in a different way per person.
One word to describe my style would be…
Feminine. It’s something I can never shake off. It’s also very intricate. I really gravitate towards anything that is hand-made or has very special and unique details. Anything that has that wow factor.
One thing I would never be caught dead wearing is…
I would say gym clothes outside the gym. Well, wearing gym clothes is already a stretch because I’m not really very comfortable in gym clothes so wearing it outside of its use is something I would never do.
The best piece of style advice I ever got was…
Just be true to yourself. Don’t try to not feel conscious about what you’re using. If you’re happy, if you feel good and you think you look good then go ahead and wear it.
My ultimate style icon is…
An all-time icon would definitely be Audrey Hepburn. I think she’s everyone’s style icon because of that effortless elegance. For a modern day style icon would be Olivia Palermo. Again because like I said I’m very feminine and she also manages to be feminine and mix it up, make things unexpected and fun. She also seems to have a fondness for accessories which I also do.
From embracing classic feminine looks up to encouraging unique sense of style, for Amina Aranaz Alunan, it’s all about staying true to one’s self and embracing difference.
