With multiple K-Pop artists topping global charts, BLACKPINK gracing billboards across EDSA, and our favorite K-Drama baes starring as the faces of local fashion brands, it’s easy to see just how big the Hallyu Wave has hit the whole world — unsurprising, as these Korean stars are well-known for their spectacular visuals that give the Midas touch to anything they promote.

What is surprising, however, is how quickly the love for South Korean culture has seeped into the world of high fashion luxury brands. While we can’t name them all, let’s take a gander at some of the top luxury brands and the K-Pop idols seen endorsing them.

G-Dragon x Chanel

Hailed as one of the kings of K-Pop and Korea’s top fashion icons, it comes as no surprise that G-Dragon is one of the most sought-after idols for brands as prestigious as Chanel. With his nonchalant air of casual cool and characteristic, one-of-a-kind swagger, G-Dragon truly embodies this latest collection, featuring classic Chanel styles with a mix of Parisian and 1970s chic.

Jennie Kim has long been dubbed the Chanel princess, as she’s often seen donning their elegant styles. In the same collection as G-Dragon (an idol she’s allegedly dating, mind you), Jennie is one of Chanel’s latest muses brought on to don their classy vintage style influenced by the ambiance of ski holidays. Bonus fact: did you know Jennie Kim is now a fashion editor for Vogue Korea?

Announced in June 2020, Saint Laurent has donned Rose the global face of their brand — a match we always saw coming as the idol frequently showcases handbags from this fashion label on her travels. With their relationship solidified, Rose was seen in Saint Laurent’s Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign, beautifully capturing its contemporary rock n’ roll vibe.

Being the first idol to represent Acqua di Parma, EXO’s Chanyeol revealed his collaboration with the luxury fragrance brand back in 2019 and was featured in W Korea. With more luxury brands under his belt, such as Prada and Tommy Hilfiger, we think it’s safe to say that nothing could stop his tempo — EXO pun intended.

Fans of Hwasa would know that she presents herself as a very down-to-earth person, sticking true to herself and showcasing how comfortable she is with her being despite the sometimes cruel standards of beauty set upon idols. This collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger showcases her unique, real-girl charm in their 2020 collection of casualwear.

As the perfect image of masculine freshness, Jackson Wang encapsulates and brings new life to Giorgio Armani’s fragrances. This former GOT7 member is no stranger to endorsements either, having Cartier and Prada in his repertoire of luxury brands he keeps in his back pocket.
