Davidoff
Initially from Russia, Henri Davidoff, and his family founded Davidoff in the early 20th century, a well-known cigar goods house in Switzerland. In the 1920s, Zino Davidoff, Henri’s son, ventured into Central and South America to study the tobacconist trade and practiced his understanding and skills to open a specialty tobacco shop in 1930, a year after returning to his family. Despite the damage and disorder during World War II, the Davidoff name managed to increase in reputation for fine cigars that expanded throughout the 1930s and 1940s. In the 1980s, the brand extended its products into perfumes, leather goods, and accessories. Davidoff for Men, the brand’s first fragrance, was announced by the company in 1984. With the launch of Cool Water, one of the pioneers in the Aromatic Aquatic fragrance class and mostly used as inspiration by men's fragrances in the years that followed, the Davidoff brand accomplished remarkable success.
