About Philippine Red Cross
Steadfast on its mission to save lives, alleviate human suffering, and promote human dignity, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is recognized as the foremost humanitarian organization in the country. Now on its 73rd founding anniversary, PRC has been at the forefront of activities in preparing, responding and being resilient to natural and man-made disasters. PRC has not only been ramping up its emergency appeal on the fight against the transmission of COVID-19 but also more recently with the devastation left behind by Typhoon Paeng--to help meet immediate needs for healthcare, water and sanitation. As the situation unfolds, these operations will transition to support longer-term programs and recovery efforts run by our local chapters in affected regions. We hope, together with our partners, that these efforts inspire more of us to be other-centered and help one another stay strong together.
